Judith Liu has been in the social work profession for over 20 years with an emphasis in behavioral health, animal assisted psychotherapy, social work conservation and humane education. 

​

She has worked as both a direct practice provider and psychiatric social worker​. She is a graduate of New York University with a Master of Social Work. She is a current graduate student at Hunter City University’s Animal Behavior and Conservation program. She holds a post master’s certification in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy with AATP of Colorado, ​ ​Equine therapy from Eagala, Red Rover Reader​s program​.

 

She is a member in good standing of several social work and professional organizations including the National Association of Social Workers, Association of Professional Humane Educators, and International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. Ms. Liu has been invited as a presenter and trainer throughout tri-state region. â€‹

Lastly, in the summer of 2018, through her company, Rubynfriends, Ms Liu piloted a humane education and bite prevention program at Braeside health summer camp. Ms. Liu â€‹ attended Braeside camp as a camper, counselor and volunteer over the years. 

​

She currently volunteers her services at ​local â€‹shelters and ​rescues within Westchester county, NY​. She is also a Pet Partners registered handler and volunteer in the community with certified therapy dog, Ruby. â€‹She provides foster home services for dogs in need through the Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue group.
